The Chachapoyas were one of the most important cultures of the Amazonia who managed to construct entire cities in inaccessible and almost impossible places for the engineers, a clear sample of it there are the Mausoleums of Revash constructed on top of the mountain to be the last place of rest of its deceased.
In spite of the complicated of the area some of these mausoleums were plundered and the mummies that recovered exhibit nowadays in the museum of Leymebamba, place that you will be able to visit with our tour in one day.

Mausoleums of Revash and Leymebamba´s Museum
Start: 08:00 / Finish: 18:00 hrs.
The tour goes out everyday at 08:00 am from Chachapoyas to mobilize us in our tourist bus up to the town of San Bartolo in a trip of 2 hours and a half approximately. In this town we will buy the entry to visit the Mausoleums where we will come after a walk of 1 hour and a half approximately.
It is recommended to take binoculars and if you wish you can arrange a horse since the walk is in ascent. The Mausoleums of Revash are funeral constructions that are alike houses of 2 and 3 levels, constructed on top of the mountain in an almost inaccessible place.
After visiting this interesting place we will return the town of San Bartolo and then go in our mobility up to the town of Leymebamba where we will have lunch and then we will be able to visit its museum where there are exhibited ceramics, textiles and two hundred mummies of the culture Chachapoyas.
Finally after having visited this museum we will return the city of Chachapoyas.
