Sarcophagus of Karajía and Quiocta Cavern
Our tour of one day initiates in the city of Chachapoyas at 08:30 traveling for two hours in car up to the town of Cruzpata. Then we will continuing for approximately 2 km until the Sarcophagus of Karajía, which are anthropomorphic graves of more than 2 meters high where the Chachapoyas buried their deads. These graves were built against the cliff on the top of the mountains.
Then we will return walking and in car for 1 hour approximately up to the district of Luya where we will enjoy a delightful lunch. Then to continue in car in 30 minutes up to the access to the Caverns of Quiocta.
From the access point we will travel approximately 300 meters finally to enter to the cavern where, we will be able to appreciate stalactites and stalagmites in a trip of approximately 500 meters for which we will need to use boots of rubber and lanterns.
After this visit we will return Chachapoyas where we will come at 6 p. m. : 30 hours.
