Our guide will pick you up at 13:30 (1:30pm) at your hotel to start the tour around the Cusco city.
Our first stop is the Main Square of Cusco, also known as Plaza de Armas, jewel of Peruvian history.
The main symbol of the square is Cusco Cathedral*, which preserved to our times in unsurpassed form and it is a major repository of Cusco's colonial art.
Our second stop is the Temple of Coricancha or Golden Temple, it is a building of colonial architecture but still with signs of Inca Empire that allows tourists to imagine its majesty during the Tahuantinsuyo.
The 20 minutes ride by comfortable bus takes us to our third stop- the archaeological site Sacsayhuaman, the most important military base of the Inca Empire and the place of reenactments of Inca-inspired ceremonies nowadays. It is located at an altitude of 3,700m that allows you to see the panorama of Cusco.
Our forth stop archaeological site Qenqo is 5 minute far from Sacsayhuaman by bus.
It is one of the largest holy places (huaca) in all Cusco region.
Then another 5 minute ride to Puca Pucara (red fortress) - our fifths stop.
It was military and administrative center, strategic point on the road to Antisuyo province (jungle region of Tahuantinsuyo).
The last stop is Tambomachay. A mysterious place whose significance causes lots of disputes among historians.
Our tour ends in the main square of Cusco around 18:30 (6:30pm).
*Visit the Cusco Cathedral is optional, if you do not want to visit it please let us know in the reservation.
